Did some sketching at the Harvard Natural History Museum the other day! This is the only thing I drew that I like because it's the only thing that makes me laugh. Yup.

Right now I'm working on a few images for a children's story about a girl obsessed with doodling in class. It should be pretty interesting since I'm going to digitally paint them (something I haven't done in ages) and I'll post them when they're done!

Still working nice and hard on my mural, but recently finished this book cover project! I'm happy with it, although I'd like to add some sample text soon to get a good idea on what it's meant to look like.

So, I've been doing a ton of drawing lately! Fall is my favorite month, so I'm feeling pretty inspired lately. I'm still doing mostly comic stuff, here's a poster I did recently for Maine College of Art:



I've also been trying to brush up on my figure drawing. I figure the better I get with drawing the figure realistically, the better I can totally mess with it and create pretty neat comic characters.




And finally, on top of EVERYTHING ELSE, I am working on a mural on the 3rd floor of MECA's Porteous building. Hopefully it'll be done by the end of the week, so more pictures to come!

I have been a bad blogger!

BOY HOWDY, HAVE A DROPPED THE BALL! Well, after a long sketch filled summer, a 6 week tour doing merch with the nicest pop-punk bands evs, and starting my senior year at MECA, I am busybusybusy! I just finished the first issue of my new comic zine called "popenstance". If anyone wants a copy just e-mail me at cyndipop@gmail.com and I'll send you one for free! I only have about 20 left!



Otherwise, I'm producing a lot of fun stuff, so stay tuned for more stupid drawings and ukulele covers and stuff.

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, it's been a pretty busy summer lately! Currently I'm searching for an internship, working, and getting all my things together for a big move. I'm saving up for a nicey nice scanner so hopefully I'll update with some nice quality images of what I've been working on lately. For now, I made a Myspace music page to show a couple people some songs I've been working on and I think I'm going to keep adding to it so keep an eye out!

It's the end of the semester! I've got a plan worked out for the summer and for my next semester, so stay tuned for some exciting stuff. On a more interesting note, I've finished my first Flash animation! It's rough, but it's all I got!

So anyway, I'm working on a book cover for an illustration assignment. I'm re-doing "Lolita" because I'm a creep. Anyways, here's the under painting! I will update in a few days with the finished result. Woo!

Some little things!

A little oil pastel drawing and a still life in oil paint of a little vintage alarm clock I found at Goodwill. The numbers are a little off but that was really the least of my cares! I'm pretty much only concentrating on oil painting right now so I'll hopefully have some exciting stuff up this summer!

The animation is coming along, but nothing worth posting about it quite yet. Here's a digital painting of Mia Farrow that I'm working on for my studio class, we had to do a celeb portrait. FUN STUFF, I SAY. Almost done, almmmmooosttttt donnneee.

So I'm working on an animation right now that I'm pretty excited about. It's going to be based on one of my mini-comics, but fortunately one that nobody has seen :D It's kind of a side project, so it's going to take awhile. Here's a couple SUPA JUICY (but not really) screen shots of some stuff! Woo!

Old!

I found this old painting I did in my foundation while I was still at Central Saint Martins. I'm blown away by how much progress I've made with my drawing skills since then. I took a break from painting for 3+ years because my sketches were so horrible, but it goes to show you how important draftsmanship is with almost every kind of 2D medium. I'm starting up oil painting right now, and I'm really excited to see where it takes me as I continue to hone in on my drawing skills. I'll scan the results when they come up. Color has always been my forte and texture has always been my forte, so I'm extremely excited to work with oils.
